Wife of Timothy George Nash
Both of Julia's parents George Long and Elizabeth Kettering were born in Virginia. Julia married Timothy G Nash September 16, 1845 in Andrew County, Missouri. They had at least eight children.
Mound Cemetery is on the west side of State Line Road (on the Kansas-Missouri state line), on the northwest corner of the intersection with Hwy 96, in Shawnee township, Cherokee county, Kansas. The monument is a square column of blue marble stone approximately 10" x 10" square, and about 36 inches tall. T. G. Nash's inscription was on the west side of the stone, his wife Julia A Nash's inscription was on the west side of the stone, and another name, M J Nash (relationship to T G Nash not yet known) was inscribed on the south side of the stone. Julia's inscription says she died at the age of 56 years 10 months 13 days (which calculates to a Date Of Birth of April 9, 1826). Also buried in the same family plot was Timothy's sons Henry C and James S Nash, along with James' wife Lucinda R Nash. This family plot was in the northwest quadrant of the cemetery.
