Charlotte Bettenbrock. 101, died July 14,2011 at her home in southern Ellsworth Co,where she lived most of her life She was born January 22,1910, at Brookville to Boughton and Sadie Klepper Leaton. She was a retired school teacher. On June 1,1938, she married Frederick Bettenbrock in Salina. He preceeded her in death September 14,1961. She was also preceeded in death by a daughter, Ruth Bettenbrock in 1996.
Survivors include daughters Ester Wolfe of Salina, Ann Chowning of Marion,Montana and Alice Lemoine of Nederland Colorado: 2 grandsons and 5 great grandchildren.
