George Abbe - father of Viola M Abbe, and brother to John Abbe. George's second wife was Lila L Brown Abbe, John Abbe's Widow. Viola was the first born child of George and Lila. About 1871 George went west from Ohio with his brother John. Lived in Salina County, Kansas and in Nekoma, Rush County, Kansas where he owned over a thousand acres of land. He was postmaster at Rush Center for a time, was County Commissioner for three years and on the school board for several years.
