ARLINGTON - Mary Marie Emrie, 69, died July 31, 2011, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. She was born April 3, 1942, in Salina, the daughter of Charles Floyd and Vernie Faye Greenway Jones.

Mary was a homemaker and owner, operator and driver for Trailer Transit. She attended Arlington Presbyterian Church. On March 28, 1980, she married Harold L. Emrie in Miami, Okla. She was previously married to Donnie Rex Knox and Kenneth Marvin Knox.

Survivors include: her husband, Harold L. Emrie of the home; mother, Vernie Faye Jones of Newton; seven children, Evelyn Rude, Kristina Hewitt and Kimberly Allbright, all of Arlington, Michelle Camp of Spring Hill, Kan., Kenneth Kevin Knox of Arlington, Connie Miller of Newton, and Bryan Knox of Partridge; three stepchildren, Mona Villanueva and Becky Blazek, both of Salina, and Derek Emrie of Virginia Beach, Va.; brother, Charles Allen Jones of Salina; sister, Carolyn Faye Martin of Wichita; 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, sister, Shirley JoAnne Knox, and a grandson, Kyle Wayne Smith.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Melvin Walton presiding. Friends may call from 12 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with family to receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Culver Union Cemetery, Culver, Kan. ARLINGTON - Harold LeRoy Emrie, 74, died February 10, 2013, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.

He was born August 21, 1938, in Stafford, the son of Earl and Berta Mae (Holmes) Emrie. Harold graduated from Stafford High School.

He married Mahala Ann Hall on August 28, 1956, in Larned. She died Sept. 25, 1991. He married Mary Marie Jones on March 28, 1980. She died July 31, 2011.

Harold was a semi-truck driver for 50 years, with over one million miles of safe driving, and a polished owner-operator. Harold and his first wife had three children in their 21-year marriage. Harold remarried and his 2nd wife had seven children whom he helped raise, like his own, for over 30 years. Harold was a devoted Christian who loved reading and studying many versions of the Bible. Harold helped many truckers and others come to the Lord. He was a friendly, outgoing man who never knew a stranger.

Survivors include: a sister, Roberta Sallee, Hutchinson; two daughters, Mona Hughes (Randy), Salina, and Becky Blazek (Mark), Salina; son, Derek Emrie (Zelma), Virginia Beach, VA; five stepdaughters, Evelyn Rude (Steve), Kristina Hewitt and Kimberley Allbright (Jeff), all of Arlington, Michelle Camp (Don), Spring Hill, KS, and Connie Miller, Newton; two stepsons, Kenneth Kevin Knox, Arlington, and Bryan Knox, Partridge; 27 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, Charles Sallee, and a grandson, Kyle Wayne Smith.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Melvin Walton officiating. Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013, in Culver Union Cemetery, Culver, Kansas. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
