Bio: Caroline Katherine Lewis Ellis Beals was born in Blount County, Tennessee, daughter of Henry Hackney Lewis and Keziah Parkins Lewis Beals.

She married 1st, Abner Ellis Sr June 6, 1848 at New Hope MM Rheatown, Greene County, Tennessee.
Their children: William, Henry, Mary E, Louiza Jane, Jacob, Abner B, John, Amanda Adeline, Rhoda Narcissa,Marmaduke, all born in Tennessee.

After Abner's death, Caroline moved to a large Quaker Community at Emporia, Kansas. Most of her children moved there too. Her mother, Keziah Perkins Lewis Beals had already moved to the Kansas community in 1875.

Caroline married July 28, 1891 to Nathan Beals
He is the step-son of her Mother (son of Jacob Beals and Sarah Ellis Beals. Caroline was widowed, again, when Nathan Beals died in 1893. He was buried in Fruitland Cemetery, Lyons County, Kansas next to his first wife, Lydia who had died in 1889.
After Nathan's death, Caroline Lewis Ellis Beals lived the last 4 years of her life with her son, William Jay Ellis in Coolidge, Hamilton County, Kansas.
She died April 24, 1895 and was buried in Cooldige, Kansas Cemetery

OBITUARY FROM THE COOLIDGE ENTERPRISE, Coolidge, Kansas
Mrs Caroline Bales was born in Blount County, Tennessee and was 66 years old. She was a consistent member of the Friends Church. She came to this County about 3 years ago and has been living with her son, William Ellis, Sr. The funeral services were conducted by Rev Thomas at the church in this city in the presence of a large number of sorrowing friends and relatives. The remains were interred in the Coolidge Cemetery yesterday afternoon
