Found dead in a hunting blind on the Jamestown lake Sunday morning. Charles A Burch of Concordia apparently died from a heart attack. He was 58 and had been a lifelong resident of this community. Mr Burch's body was found in his blind by a couple of other hunters
He was born Dec 1 1905 in Concordia, the son of Mr and Mrs Archard Burch. He attended schools here and was married Oct 10 1928 to Lena Viola Pick. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the US Navy. He managed the Letts box factory here for some time, later was employed as custodian at the Concordia post office, a position he held at the time of his death.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Charles of Concordia; two brothers: John of Mankato and Herbert of Concordia; four sisters: Mrs Mabel Eakins, Mrs Floyd Anderson, Mrs Harry Fisher and Mrs Everett Mendenhall, all of Concordia; and three grandchildren: Douglas, Ronnie and Charlene Burch, of Concordia.
