Odie E. Pool, 81, Bronson, died today at 2:30 a.m. in Mercy Hospital.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the Bronson Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Nitcher and the Rev. Mrs. Paul Reade officiating. Interment will be in Hatch Cemetery, with the Ralston-Hutton Funeral Home in Moran in charge.
Mr. Pool was born Jan. 16, 1883, in Hiatville, the son of Erastus and Emily "Susanna" Mason Pool. The family moved to Bronson when he was very young. Mr. Pool lived the remainder of his life in and near Bronson. He was a retired farmer.
His marriage to Lula Turner was on March 8, 1905, in Uniontown. She died in 1939.
Survivors are three daughters, Miss Hazel Pool of the home in Bronson; Mrs. Illah (Fred) Thompson of Moran; and Mrs. Lucile (John) Heard, Iola. There are 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Four brothers are Ernest Pool, Fort Scott, and Pearl, Roy and Bertie, all of Bronson.
Mr. Pool was a member of the South Fairview Grange, the Farm Bureau and the Methodist Church.
