Eli Rhoton was born in TN and came with his father Elisha Rhoton and mother Caroline Matilda Salling to KS. He married Martha Jane Haddock on Dec 30 1866. They had 6 children, Thomas Josiah Rhoton, Henry Franklin Rhoton, Matilda Angeline Rhoton (Wilson), Robert Eli Rhoton, James Allen Rhoton and Ann E Rhoton.
Eli also served in the Civil War.
