James "Willis" TENNYSON

James Willis Tennyson, the son of Mary Ann and Wesley Tennyson, was born near Fayetteville, Arkansas, June 7, 1854. The son of John "Wesley" and Mary Ann Frasier Tennyson.
He was united in marriage to Josephine Atkisson at Xenia, on March 7, 1875.
He departed this life January 6, 1942, at the age of 87 years and 6 months. He leaves five children: Mrs. Delta Morris, Iola; Mrs. Gertrude Shy, Stacy, Mont., Mrs. Katherine White, Fowler, Colorado, J. Frazier Tennyson, Carmi, [?], and Mrs. Cora Miller, Uniontown; also 11 grandchildren.
Mrs. Tennyson died March 2, 1923 at Iola.
Funeral services were held at the Sleeper Chapel in Iola, conducted by the Rev. Stanley Tay of the First Baptist church. Burial was in the Hatch cemetery.
