The Bronson Pilot, August 14, 1942
David Orval, son of Rufus O. and Ollie Watson, was born July 17, 1915 at Bronson, Bourbon Co., Kansas.

When he was a year old he moved with his parents to eastern Colorado where they resided until 1925. They then moved to Dallas, Texas and resided there until the fall of 1930, moving then to Wichita where Orval attended the Meridian Avenue Baptist church. He was converted and baptised by Bro. Crookmore in 1931, and was a faithful worker in the church ever since he found the Lord.

He began working in the wing department of the Cessna Aircraft factory about eighteen months ago but recently he was able to work only a part of the time.

On Thursday, Aug. 6, he was stricken with partial paralysis and was taken to the Wesley hospital where a week later he was called home to his eternal reward.

Funeral services were held in Wichita and the body sent to the Bronson cemetery for burial. Here a group of friends gathered Saturday evening, August 15 to tender their sympathy and pay their respects, and a brief graveside service was held.
