Son of Ernest Alvin and Nina Mae Chambers Clark. He first married Velma Neil, March 24, 1940; she preceded him in death in 1972. He later married Betty Lou Taylor, June 1, 1973 in Fort Scott. She survived him.
Russell was a resident of Uniontown, KS and died on September 6, 1997 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center, Pittsburg, KS.
Russell worked for several years for the Allen Construction Company, and later retired as a self employed carpenter. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Pleasanton, where he served on the board, the Uniontown City Council, and past member of the Uniontown Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his wife, survivors included one son, Robert Clark, Fort Collins, Colo.; one daughter, Joyce Zimmerman, Hoisington; one brother, Roy Clark, Fort Scott; three grandchildren, Deborah Smith, Danah Kaiser and Jerod Clark; four great-grandchildren; and his step-mother, Eunice Clark, Fort Scott.
