Orland J. (Buck) Nichols, 62, Rural Bronson, died yesterday at 5 a.m. at St. Patrick's Hospital in Topeka.
He was born July 13, 1904, at Uniontown, the son of Joseph and Pluma Turner Nichols. He never married.
He lived in the Bronson and Uniontown area all his life.
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Earle (Viola) Baker, Garden City, Kas.; Mrs. Lester (Berniece) Gibbs, Springfield, Ill.; and Mrs. Henry (Dorothy) Griffith, Topeka; and a brother Roy Nichols of Bronson.
Services were held August 23 in the Bronson Methodist Church. Burial was in the Hatch Cemetery, Uniontown, under the direction of Ralston-Hutton Funeral Home of Moran.
The family suggests contributions to the Bourbon County Cancer Society.
