The funeral of Mrs. J. E. Nichols of South Fairview will be held this afternoon at the South Fairview church, the Revs. J. E. Stickney and H. M. Sanders in charge.
Pluma Edith Turner was born on March 27, 1880, and died on August 1, 1945 at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 4 days, following a lingering illness.
She was married, Feb. 16, 1898 to Joseph Everett Nichols.
Besides her husband she is survived by the following children: Mrs. Earle (Viola) Baker, Garden City, Kans.; Roy and Orland, Bronson, Miss Berniece Nichols, Kansas City, Mo.; Lt. Dorothy Nichols, Army Nurse Corps in France. Also a sister, Mrs. Ray Beaman of Uniontown and a brother; Otto Turner, Kiowa, a half brother, Wm. T. Turner, of Waverley, Ill.
Mrs. Nichols was a woman of fine Christian character, kindly disposed to everyone, devoted to her family and church, and loyal to her multitude of friends.
Burial will be made in the Hatch cemetery.
