Albert Brown Singmaster, 72, Fort Scott, died at his home, Friday, Oct. 2, 1998. He was born on May 9, 1926 at Fort Scott, the son of Albert Roy and Evelyn Louise Kennedy Singmaster. He married Kathryn E. Moudy on Jan. 6, 1946 in Girard, Kan. He was a member of the First Christian Church and I.B.E.W. Union

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn, of the home; three sons and a daughter; five brothers; four sisters; five granchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jane Little.

The Rev. John Biesemeir officiated at the funeral services Tuesday, October 6, 1998 at the First Christian Church. Burial was in the Clarksburg Cemetery under the direction of the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home. The family received friends Monday evening at the funeral home. The family suggested memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Kathryn Singmaster, age 72, of Fort Scott, died at Fort Scott Manor Nursing Home on Saturday, June 30, 2001.

She was born July 3, 1928, in Fort Scott the daughter of Wesley Reed and Ruth Kathryn Kaley Moudy. She married Albert Brown Singmaster Jan. 6, 1946, in Girard. He preceded her in death Oct. 2, 1998.

She was a member of the First Christian Church and an alumni of Fort Scott High School, Class of 1946. She was very active in Class of '46 functions.

She is survived by 3 sons and one daughter; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Wesley and Ruth Moudy.

Rev. Oliver Bergeron conducted funeral services on Tuesday, July 3, at the First Christian Church. Burial was in the Clarksburg Cemetery.

The family received friends at the Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home on Monday, July 2. The family suggested Memorials to the American Cancer Society.
