Mrs. Jessie Dean Ramsey, 86, wife of M. L. Ramsey, Uniontown, died unexpectedly of a heart ailment July 25, 1962 at Mercy Hospital, in Fort Scott where she had been admitted that morning.
On March 4, 1876, Mrs. Ramsey was born in Uniontown to Frank and Sara Roof Wolf. She attended school in Uniontown.
On Nov. 27, 1898, she was united in marriage to Martin Luther Ramsey on the old Archie Wolf farm.
Survivors are the husband and these children:Ed Ramsey, Baxter Springs, Kas.; Mrs. Daisy Howe, Hannibal, Mo.; Frank Ramsey, Canyonville, Ore.; Lyle and Elmo Ramsey, Uniontown; Howard, Kansas City; and Mrs. Nellie Turner, Lee's Summit, Mo. A brother, Archie Wolf, lives in Fort Scott. There are 19 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
