Amel R Jones, 72, of rural Kincaid, died this morning (4/18/1973) at his home.
He was born March 8, 1901, near Tubtown, the son of Charles Delbert and Nancy Kerlee Jones.
On April 30, 1927 he married Georgia Willis at Fort Scott.
Mr. Jones lived most of his life in Bourbon County where he farmed until ill health caused his retirement in 1958. He then moved to his present home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Delbert and Nancy Ann Kerlee Jones and a brother, Carme E. Jones.
Survivors include the widow of the home; one son, Roscoe Jones of Garnett; one daughter, Mrs. Ronda McCollam of Kincaid; and eight grandchildren.
