Elmon D. Jones, 76, Mapleton died Sunday morning at 1:20 in the state hospital, Osawatomie. He had been a resident of the Mapleton community most of his life.
The deceased was the son of David and Susan Jones, pioneer residents of the Mapleton and Blue Mound communities. He was born, March 2, 1882. He was a member of the Poplar Grove Holiness church.
Surviving are a brother Fred M. Jones, Mapleton; and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Officer, Monroe, Wash.; several nephews and nieces, among them, Marvin of Fort Scott, Floyd of Mapleton, and Carme of Uniontown.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at the Konantz Funeral Home.
